I'll try to make this long story short. October 2010 I had a baby. I was covered by my work insurance through atena. My new daughter was to be covered by my husbands insurance blue cross and blue shield. Even though we pointed this out several times the hospital somehow made an error and billed atena for my daughter's care. I didn't find out about this until almost a year later. I was told they were working to fix it. Next thing I know I got a bill in the mail for over $2,000 that is not sent to collections. I called the collection company and told them this was an error since my daughter is covered. They took a few months to review it, and still billed me over $2,000. What do I do?
