I was wondering my mom had a auto loan and she still owes 8000 dollars on it. Can I use that car as a trade in to get another car for myself? I am still paying on this vehicle it has been 4 months sense she has passed away. And if not do I have to return it to the bank even if I decide to keep it?

Did you inherit her property? If so, have you talked with your lender about formally assuming the loan? If you can get it titled in your name then you can trade it in toward another vehicle. It really depends on the entire situation.
