I had been fighting a credit card debt that a third party was suing me for. This was going on for five years and I was just waiting to get the court date so I could go to court and plead my case. I never received any notice of the court date and apparently I missed it and I am now being garnished for the amount the attorney was asking for plus $100+ for court fees. Is this now a done-deal?

If you were not properly served a notice of the lawsuit, you may be able to get the judgment vacated. We recommend you talk with a consumer law attorney as soon as possible.
