Blow them off
by: Anonymous

Unless your mother owed a very large sum of money or the debt was in someone else's name blow them off. If it costs too much to go after the money they will just write it off. If they call your house say she is dead and don't call again. Then hang up.

We are very sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately, creditors are usually able to collect from the estate of someone who has died, if there is one.

You can read our information in our deceased person's debt FAQ.
