can my sister/siblings sue me?

by yolanda

my mother had a property in california. she withdrew all her equity (left 40k) to buy a house in florida and live next to my oldest sister. some family situation changed that my mom had to sell her house in fl and come back to california and live with me. my mother had wrote a will in which she states that the 40k should me distributed among my sibblings after death. but, like i said there has been family situation that changed. my oldest sister said that when mom dies she will suit me for those 40k. can she really do it if my mom does not revoke the will?

My common-law marriage husband died. He didn't a will - all he had was the money in his account and he gave it to me after he died.
