wrong name but someone I know

I have United Recovery systems calling my number every other day. When I finally answered the call, she asked for my ex-husbands current wife. They live in another state. Should I be concerned?

It sounds like they are either trying to locate your ex-husband's current wife or she gave them your number as her contact number. So, I see no reason for you to be concerned, unless you co-signed for the debt the collection agency wants to collect from the new wife or you and she owe the debt jointly. If either of these situations apply, they you are obligated to pay the debt if she does not.

Assuming you have nothing to do with the debt and that you do not want United Recovery Systems to continue calling you, next time they call, tell them that the person they are calling is not at your number and to please stop contacting you. Or, if you have an address for the company, write a letter telling them the same thing. Send it certified mail with a return receipt requested. If the collector is calling to find out how to get in touch with your ex's new wife, you can provide them with her contact information if you want and once United has it, the company will probably stop calling you.
