Will this be put on my credit?

by Tracey
(Indianapolis)

A hospital has turned me into a collection agency. Payments are always made on time and they have turned me in before the due date of my last bill. The due date was Sept 9. They turned me in on Sept 5 and my payment was mailed Sept 6. I will still continue to pay the hospital and NOT the collection agency. Will this go on my credit?

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com:

The collection agency may report the debt to the credit reporting agencies. Try to find someone higher up at the hospital to whom you can appeal this decision.
