Wage Garnishment
by: Debt Collection Answers

The attorney cannot take the money in your bank account or have your wages garnished unless the attorney wins the lawsuit. Once the attorney has a judgment against you it can get the court's permission to collect the amount of the judgment by garnishing your wages and/or seizing money from your bank account.

If you have been sued or believe you are about to be sued, I strongly suggest that you hire an attorney to represent you.
