Yes, the company can garnish your wages, but not without suing you first, winning the lawsuit and getting the court's permission to collect on its judgment against you by taking a portion of your wages.

Why not avoid the hassle and expense of a lawsuit and the possibility that you may end up with a judgment in your credit history, which would be very damaging, by contacting the ambulance company to try to work out a payment plan you can afford?
