Two judgements same debt

by ed

I have a judgement against me for a credit card debt. I only receive social security and a pension, and am paying one lawyer with a judgement. They cannot levy the funds i do receive. However I received notice that another law firm has a judgement for an account that already has a judgment.

Do they expect me to pay both law firms for the same account? How is it possible for two firms to get a judgement on the same account?

You shouldn't have two judgments for the same debt, but it's hard for us to know what's going on here. Have you disputed the second one in writing? We'd suggest you do that, and send your dispute by certified mail.
