Trying To Find My Collection Agency

by Luke P.
(Salem, OR)

I know I'm in debt but I'm not sure which collection agency is handling it. So I wanted to know how I could go about finding that out.

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com:

Luke,

Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to identify which collection agencies have your debts currently. Sometimes debts get lost in the shuffle as they go from creditor to collection agency to collection agency.

The best recommendation we can offer is for you to check your credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com to see whether any collection agencies are listed there. You could also try contacting the original creditors to see whether they can tell you the status of your debts.
