Threatening my wife for my ex-wife's debt
I have a collection agency calling me and being extremely rude to me and my wife. The debt they are going for is from my previous marrige and my current wife is not on the account. They have told her they can garnish her check with mine as well. Is this right??

There is a difference between being rude and making illegal threats. It is very unlikely the collector can garnish your current wife's pay to cover your ex-wife's debt. We recommend you do two things: Please read our free ebook so you understand your rights when dealing with this debt collector.
Also talk with a consumer law attorney. These threats may be illegal and if so, the attorney may help you at no out of pocket cost to you. Get free legal advice about debt collection here.
