(Denver, Colorado)

I received a court summons 28 days after receiving initial notice. Does this violate both federal & state FDCPA validation period? Thank You.

Marley - It sounds like there could potentially be a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act here, but since we are not attorneys, we would recommend you talk with a consumer law attorney. He or she can help you understand whether law him(s) have been violated and describe your options for proceeding.

Find out how to get FREE or low cost legal advice about debt collection from a consumer law attorney here.

Do let us know in the comments section how this turns out for you!
