Receiving my deceased mother's electric bill
Hi, my mom passed away in december and i did the ringing round cancelling her electric. The company have now sent me a bill at my home address asking for the payment. as i didn`t live with my mom and am not the next of kin am i required to pay this?

Our condolences to you.
Unless you were on the account or live at your mom's address, we don't see any reason why you'd have to pay her bill. Return it to them with a copy of the death certificate (if you can get one) or a letter stating she is deceased. Our guess is that will be the last you hear from them.
