Paid medical bills being sent to collection agency

I have been receiving a bill from this company since May 2012 for $135.00 which has been paid in full by my insurance company. I have had several conversations with them and have faxed the Explanation of Benefits from my insurance stating that it has been paid. Yet, they continue to send bills. Today I received a collection notice from them. How do I get this to stop? I have proof of payment, but no one seems to be able to return my calls or answer my faxes. I have told them to cease and desist with the billings. Now I have been threatened with a lawsuit. What are my options?

Is the company in question a debt collection company? If so, then please call a consumer law attorney right away. The attorney may be able to help you at no cost because if the collection agency is breaking the law it must pay your attorney fees. You can call 855-206-5310 (toll-free) now for a free consultation. There is no charge to you.

Please also check your credit reports asap to find out if this company has reported a collection account. If so you may also have a credit damage lawsuit!
