In order for you to be legally notified of the lawsuit that's been filed against you, YOU, and no one else, must be served. If I were you, I would get in touch with a consumer law attorney in your area who helps consumers resolve debt collection-related problems. It's possible that you may have grounds for a lawsuit, but I am not an attorney so I cannot say for sure. For now, until you have spoken with an attorney, I would ask your neighbor to hold on to the Summons.
