Settling a debt
by: Mary

Debt settlement can be a good option for consumers who are overwhelmed by debt and are trying to avoid bankruptcy. However, it is not a good option for everyone. Therefore, it's important that educate yourself about settlement and that you work with a settlement firm that will help you review all of your options for resolving your debt problem and choose the one that is best for you.

A good way to begin your settlement education process is to listen to my debt settlement podcast. It's an interview I did with the founder and owner of Consumer Recovery Network, which is a fair and ethical settlement firm. I also recommend that you get a free consultation with a debt negotiation specialist so you can find out if settlement is the way to go or if bankruptcy might be your best option.

Please let us know how this turns out for you. Good luck!
