My Ex Husband Owes Money To A Collection Company

Help! My ex husband was illegally occupying an apartment unknown to my knowledge. Now the collection company wants the money that he owes. The collection company is coming after me for the money. How can i prevent this. I don't work.

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com: Why is the collection company coming after you? On what basis do they think you are liable for your ex-husband's debt? Have they told you?

Generally consumers aren't responsible for their ex's debts unless they cosigned for them, or they were incurred during the marriage in a community property state.
