a nursing home on Medicaid. ( some of the bills are comming from
the nursin home and despite numerous attempts to stop it, they still

Donald:

You did not indicate in your question what you have done so far to try to stop the bills from coming to you. I assume that you have made phone calls. If I am right, then I recommend that you write the nursing home and anyone else who is sending you bills for the elderly man. (Before you do, try to find out who is in charge of the billing department for each of the businesses so you can write your letter to those individuals specifically. If you cannot get a name, than put the words "Business Office" or "Accounts Receivable" on the outside of the envelope to help ensure that your letter ends up with the right person.)

In your letter, explain what has been happening and that you do not know the person who is receiving the care, that you have no obligation to pay the bills and therefore, that you want the bills to stop coming to your home.

Make a copy of the letter for your files and send the original via certified mail with a return receipt requested.

Hope my advice works for you.
