Doesn't your firm have a legal department for this?
by: Gerri

Typically if the debtor tells you that they have hired an attorney, you simply ask them for the name and contact information of the attorney. But if the debtor has already sent a cease and desist letter you may not be able to call them to get that information.

I assume your collection agency has a legal department that can advise you on how to comply with the FDCPA. If not, I'd be concerned.
