Judgement on top of another judgment

by Brenda
(Romulus, MI)

I am paying a judgement filed against me by capital one. Can Citibank file a judgement against me for a student loan if I am currently paying another judgement? I live in Michigan. Can they take the money out out my bank account if my direct deposit is only $600. every two weeks?

Brenda,

They may get a judgment against you for the debt, but that doesn't necessarily mean they can go after your wages to collect it.
