We live in Maryland. My wife got cancer and we had many medical bills. The hospital turned a bill over to a collection agency who in turn filed with the district court for a judgement. The hospital bill is solely in my wife's name. Can I be held responsible for this debt which is $3500 and/or can they garnish my wages?
