Joint account and debt collection

Yes, a joint account may be at risk if a creditor obtains a court judgment against one of you. You didn't provide much information about your situation, so you may want to at least talk with bankruptcy attorney to find out what property you have is at risk. The consultation will be free, so it doesn't hurt to at least get some advice.
