Husbands debt, wifes responsible

Arizona is a community property state, which means that you and your husband are jointly responsible for any debt either of you may enter into during your marriage. Therefore, it sounds like debt collectors are legally entitled to look to you for payment of your husband's debts if he does not pay them. However, we are not attorneys so we recommend you get legal advice on how to handle this debt.
