Husbands debt, wifes responsible

Ok, so my husband is in about $3,000.00 in debt, how would collectors come after me?
This debt is his own and things he charged up and he doesnt know that I know.
$1,600.00 for dog (NOT MINE)
$1,000.00 cell phones (NOT MINE, I HAVE MY OWN ACCOUNT AND NOT ON HIS)

Arizona is a community property state, which means that you and your husband are jointly responsible for any debt either of you may enter into during your marriage. Therefore, it sounds like debt collectors are legally entitled to look to you for payment of your husband's debts if he does not pay them. even during divorce?

If the debt occurred after separation, would it still be wife responsibility, divorce is pending.
