debt collector harassment
by: Gerri

Donna,

Debt collector harassment is illegal under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and under many state laws as well. You should never have to deal with debt collectors who harass you.

Of course it's important to understand the definition of harassment, and what debt collectors can and cannot do to collect a debt you owe.

Our ebook, Debt Collection Answers, goes into all of these topics in detail, and you can read the first chapter for free. Be sure to download our free Debt Collection Worksheet to keep track of conversations with a collector.

And if it seems like the debt collector is breaking the law, talk with a consumer law attorney. Find out how to get free legal advice from an attorney here.
