your foreclosure questions
by: Gerri

Greg,

You raise some good questions but the place to get them answered is not online - you really need to talk with a bankruptcy attorney. The attorney will be able to go over the details of your financial situation and tell you what property may be at risk. Please set up a a free consultation with a bankruptcy attorney - we're confident you're going to feel a lot better knowing what your rights are.

As to whether the bank will try to pursue the deficiency, it's hard to say. Some banks have become more aggressive lately, and even consumers who thought they were off the hook.
