Gas Bill For a Minor

There was a gas bill put in my name when I was a minor and was never paid and it is on my credit report. Should this be on my credit report and if not what can I do about it?

Have you tried disputing it with the credit reporting agencies? What kind of response did you get? If not, then that's the first thing you should do. Try disputing it and explain that you were a minor at the time.

Why was the bill in your name in the first place? Did a family member use your information because they couldn't get utility services?
