auto lease can't pay

When you return the car, the leasing company will try to get payment from you. They may send the account to collections and may even eventually sue you.

To find out what they can and cannot go after (in terms of your assets and income), it would be a really good idea for you to at least get a bankruptcy attorney so you will clearly understand what they can and cannot go after. The fact that you have met with a bankruptcy attorney and know your situation will help when you talk with the collector or creditor, so that you will know what they legitimately can and cannot do to collect from you.

Eventually they may sue you and get a judgment against you. You'll want to discuss with the bankruptcy attorney what may be at risk if that happens.

I don't have any easy solutions for you, but I hope this will help you get the advice you need to move forward.
