divorced 22 years and getting collection calls for him
I divorced Mike 22 years ago. In the last few years I have gotten repeated calls for him and his new wife Melissa from debt collectors. They hang up when they ask for him and tell him he doesn't live here and we have been unable to get information to stop them. They called up this morning at 7:15 am! I assume this is because those stupid people finder data bases still have use linked. How do I unhook myself from this former jerk?

There is no easy solution when the collection agency refuses to reveal their information. One thing you should definitely do is file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission FTC.gov. They are holding a forum on robocalls and you should make sure you've shared your experience.
Beyond that, you might try getting a free google voice number that will help you screen your calls.
