Disputing Charges to a Debit Card

Can i dispute budget rental for taking tousands of dollars out of my checking account? my credit union wants me to sighn a credit card disputing form after they paid the money to budget rental. The total was 8,900 dollars.

What happened? Why did Budget take almost $9000 out of your account? Is it an error or are they saying you owe them that money for services, damage etc?

(And yes, you need to dispute errors with debit cards right away.)
