DISABLED PERSON HAS BANK ACCOUNT FROZEN IN ALBERTA

Can a collection agency freeze my bank account that my AISH check was just deposited into without any warning or notice or anything? It was stated to me by the collection agency that the only checks exempt from seizure are income tax refunds and workman compensation checks. If workmans comp. hand not starved me off there payroll I would not be recieving an AISH check. Help?
