Debt Collection Statute of Limitations in WA State
by: Mary

Thanks for your question regarding the statute of limitations on debts in Washington State. My information indicates the following apply:

6 years for written contracts and accounts receivables

3 years for oral contracts

However, it's possible that your state legislature may have changed recently the statute of limitations on these debts, so if you want to make sure that my information is 100% accurate, I suggest that you call the office of a consumer law attorney in your area who helps consumers resolve debt collection problems or try calling the consumer information office of your state attorney general.
