Debt Collection and a Corporation

by elvira
(pembroke pines, fl, USA)

I have an unpaid credit card debt of $20,000.00 for about 5 to 7 years. I would like to open a corporation. Could my debtors sue my corporation?
Thank you very much.

Debt Collection and a Corporation
by: Debtcollectionanswers

Elvira, I am not an attorney so if you want a definitive answer to your question, I recommend that you consult with one. However, I do not believe that if you established a corporation the creditor/s to whom you owe the money could go after the assets that the corporation owns to try to collect what you owe. The corporation is a legal entity that is totally separate from you as an individual and therefore has nothing to do with your personal debts.

Your answer means a lot to me because I have been stagnated in fear of debt collectors getting into a corporation I wanted to star.
I do appreciate your kindness in answering my question.

Best regards,

Elvira Lopez
