Daughter's X-boyfriend's debt collectors are coming to my home

by Holly

My daughter's ex-boyfriend used my home mailing address (without my permission)now I have his debt collectors actually coming to my home trying to collect. His credit card bills, state and fed payroll tax late payment notices are also being delivered to me. The ex-boyfriend moved to Ireland. Is there anyway I can put a stop to this?

Yes, call each of the collection agencies and let them know that he no longer lives at your home and so you want them to stop trying to contact him there. Then follow up with letters stating the same thing. Make copies of the letters and send them certified mail with a return receipt requested.

Also, if you are receiving other correspondence for him, there should be a number you can call on each communication to inform them that he no longer lives at your address.

If you have his new address, go to the Post Office and fill out a change of address form on his behalf.
