Can car be taken to collect on a judgment
by: Debtcollectionanswers.com

The fact that you are on disability has nothing to do with whether or not your car can be taken to collect on a judgment. However every state has designated assets that are exempt from a creditor's collection actions, and a motor vehicle is typically one of those assets.

I recommend that you contact a consumer law attorney who helps consumers in your area resolve debt collection problems(or a local bankruptcy attorney) to find out about the exemptions in your state and if the full value of your car is exempt. Another option is to contact the consumer affairs office of your state attorney general.

Good luck!
