credit card debt after husband's death

my husband died and left everything to me. His credit card is in his name and I am an authorized user, do I have to pay the credit card off ?

What about New Mexico or Texas?

We're not sure what your question is, but New Mexico and Texas are community property states and debt incurred after your marriage in those states is often considered community property. We aren't attorneys, however, and can't offer legal advice.

If you were an authorized user only, you are not responsible for the account. If you were on the card as a joint card holder I would say yes. Shouldn't be a problem at all.
