Constant Telephone Calls

(Phenix City, AL)

I received a telephone call several weeks ago from NCO. They requested to speak to a particular individual. I told them they must have the wrong telephone number as I did not know anyone with that name. The person calling said "are you sure?" and got very aggressive. I politely told her again that I knew no one by that name.

In the last three days, I have received more than 15 telephone calls from NCO. I was at work and the telephone was not answered.

I am fed up with this situation.

I am filing a complaint with my telephone company to see if they can do something to stop it.

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com: Your phone company is unlikely to be able to help. If you want to file a complaint, the CFPB and your state attorney general's are the places where you should file one.

And you may want to go ahead and talk with a consumer law attorney. If they debt collector is breaking the law, they may have to pay your attorney's fees and damages. You can talk with a consumer law attorney with experience in debt collection cases. Learn how to get low cost or FREE legal help with your debt collection problem here.
