Constant Calls, For Whom I Do Not Know

I receive daily calls from NCO for people i have never met, and have no idea who they are. Hve told them numerous times to quit calling me, but they continue to pester me for random collection actions_ none of then mine! what can i do?

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com:

You may want to read what we have written about what to do if you are getting collection calls for someone else.

You can certainly complain to the FTC, BBB, etc. But we would also suggest you consider talking with a consumer attorney at this point. You've done all you can and they shouldn't continue calling you.

If the collection agency is breaking the law, you may be entitled to damages and the collection agency may have to pay your attorney's fees.

You can contact a local consumer law attorney with experience in debt collection cases, or call the Collection Complaint Hotline at 888-711-5183 for a free, confidential case evaluation. There is no fee unless you recover.

Good luck with this!
