Collections on my credit report

I have a medical bill under $100 that is in collections but I haven't been contacted in 2 years and I thought it was resolved. Just the other day it came up in conversation with my Health Care Provider Rep and now I'm concerned it has affected my credit. We were disputing the code for billing at the time and I was under the impression that it had been resolved in 2013. What should I do?
