After a debt collector has garnished my bank account can they still collect more money or put a lien on my house.

Thanks for submitting your debt collection question on our Q&A page.

A debt collector with a judgment against you is entitled to use all of the means at its disposal under your state's law to collect on that judgment. Therefore, if the collector has gone after the money in your bank account and some of the judgment amount remains outstanding, the debt collector can take other actions to collect the additional money from you. However, the collector is not entitled to collect more than the judgment amount.
