Changing location of court hearing after being served with a summons.

We moved to another county from where I was served a summons. Which I responded to, it had no court date. I was in the process of moving whenever I was served. We live in Nevada. My question is how can I change where my court date will be set. We live about 400 miles from where I was originally served,I do not drive due to health reasons.I changed my address with the court before we left. So what happens next? What do I do now?
Thanks Mary

Changing location of court hearing after receiving a summons.

Thanks for getting in touch.

I am not an attorney nor am I familiar with how the courts work in Nevada so I don't have an answer to your question. However, here are two ways to find out what you want to know:

1. Call the clerk with the court that issued the summons.

2. Schedule an appointment with a consumer law attorney in the area where you live now. If you've been sued, it's a good idea to get legal advice so the appointment can be helpful to you in a couple ways.

Good luck resolving your problem.
