Can you go to jail for not paying debt?

I had a recent problem with Comcast, I ended their services but they charged me for months of service I didn't even use. Apparently I am now in debt with them. They have sent me letters, and I am unable to pay them at the moment because I am unemployed. I am activity working to get a job and is trying to build up the money to pay them off. Can I go to jail for not paying them off in time?

Reply from DebtCollectionAnswers.com:
