When you signed your mom into the hospital, was she not able to do so? If you simply signed her in and didn't sign your name anywhere saying that you take responsibility for the services rendered, I see no way possible for you to be held accountable for this bill. Ask for a copy of the admission forms from the hospital. Read over them and see what you signed and where your name is, in reference to the billing of services rendered. If you can't see anything stating that you would be held responsible for services rendered, you may need to contact legal help from a trusted attorney to have this stopped. Hope this helps.

Yes you are responsible, if the paperwork you signed obligated you to pay your mother's hospital bill if she did not or to pay whatever her insurance did not pay. Otherwise, no, you are not responsible for your mother's unpaid debts.
