Can Debt Collector Go After Contents of Safe Deposit Box?

A debt collector would be interested in the contents of your safe deposit box if there were assets in it that the collector could go after to satisfy a court judgment against you. However, before it could take those assets, the collector would have to sue you and get the court's permission to access the box.
