APM FInancial LLC (Attorney Laurence Hacker's Office)

by Not Happy in CA

Have recently received a call at the end of last year for a debt dated back to April 2004. The debt is no longer listed on my credit report and was sold to another collection agency (who APM Financial / Atty Laurence Hacker's Office) represents.

1. They are unethical/harassing
2. Won't provide information you are requesting
3. Call all of the time

I have already reported them to FTC and local State Attorney General's Office, but figured I'd report them here as well.

Not happy,

Have you thought about talking with a consumer law attorney? If a debt collector breaks the law you may be entitled to damages, and the collection agency may have to pay your attorneys fees as well.

Since you are in California, you may want to contact attorney Robert Brennan. He's the coauthor of the California edition of Debt Collection Answers and his website is SoCalCreditDamage.com.

Good luck!
