Answering Machine BS

by Jerry
(Georgia USA)

We are being contacted by these people. They tried leaving a message on our answering machined claiming that if they completed leaving the message, it would be counted as an automatic confirmation and they would proceed against us accordingly. Please be aware of this tactic as they could leave this type of message on your answering machine if you are home or not. Their attitude toward those whom they call is very harsh and unnecessary! We have not received any documentation from them.

Trying to Make Me Verify
by: Anonymous

I called the 1-800 number my grandmother gave me. The person answered the phone with the greeting. Then they put me on hold. Came back
to the phone saying an address he wanted to me to verify first. I asked, what is this call in reference to?
Thegentleman said, l need you to verify this address first before I tell you. I replied, I want to know what this call is in reference to first? He said I can't tell you that until you verify your address first. I can lose my job. He said if it's a problem, hang up and call back. I did just that, I hung up. You called me. I'm not verifying anything, until I know what it is first. This company need a NEW method with handling things.

Who was it?
by: Anonymous

First, file a complaint with the FTC. They just fined West Asset Management over 2 million dollars for illegal practices. Also, there is a great consumer advocate attorney in the state of GA, in case you want to contact him:

(This information has been removed, however, whomever submitted it is welcome to contact us about this attorney's services.)

Good luck!
